How do I access my voicemail by telephone?

For Digital Phones connected to VoiceMailTel service

How can I access my voicemail from an internet browser?

Log onto your online account using the online portal. Set up your account so that voicemails are stored in your mailbox as .wav audio attachments.

Then you can simply log in and play the files or save them on your computer. You can access your online account from any web browser.

 

How can I view my voicemail activity?

To view your voicemail activity:

  • Log into your account using the online portal.
  • Click the Inbox link.
  • Messages for your extension are listed.
  • To listen to a voicemail, select the play option next to the message.

How can I check my voicemail with my VoiceMailTel account when I am travelling abroad?

Use your virtual calling card by dialing your VoiceMailTel number, then select the voicemail option.

You can also have voicemails sent to your e-mail account.


How can I modify my voicemail notification?

  • Log into your portal account.
  • Click the Call Routing link.
  • Click option 5, Voicemail Notification.
  • In the Voicemail Notifications section, enter the notification address.
  • Click Save.


Can you help script my voicemail recordings?

Can I listen to my voicemails as soon as I’m notified?

Once you get a notification, just log into your online portal account or open your e-mail and then open the voicemail.


How many messages can I receive?

Each extension can handle up to 500 voicemails, with a storage time limit of 3 months.

 

How do I forward voicemails to other people?

Forward them the same way as an e-mail message.

You can also forward voicemails stored in your online account.

 

Can I get a second mailbox?

Yes. The number of mailboxes you get differs by plan.

  • Start plan: you get 5 extensions with 5 mailboxes
  • Basic plan: you get 10 extensions with 10 mailboxes
  • Advanced plan: you get 15 extensions with 15 mailboxes

You can order more extensions at any time.


How long can a message be?

Voicemails can be up to 5 minutes in length.
