The auto-attendant will welcome the caller with a professional recording
(default or your own creation) and will prompt them
to select the extension they need. Auto-attendant messages
can be of many types: "Press 1 for Sales, Press 2 for
Customer Support, press 3 to talk with a company representative",
"Press 1 for Bill, Press 2 for Maria, Press 3 for Mark"
or "If you
know your party's extension please
dial it now".
When the caller enters the extension, the call goes to the telephone number you selected for that extension: your or your employees home, office or cell phone. These phones can be located anywhere, yet they will appear to be in the same office.
You can setup your extensions to deliver announcements about your new offers or information about your company, too.
The extension owner can identify the caller through call screening and answer or route it to another number or voicemail. Each extension owner can personalize their messages or schedule their availability, for example calls can be scheduled to go to another number or in voicemail during the hours or days the extension owner is off duty or on holydays.
Each extension has its own mailbox so the owner can listen to voicemails directly from PC, e-mail or phone.
